3 weeks before 9.11.01 Tim returned from a one year solo Pilgrimage throughout South and East Asia --
including Nepal, India, Thailand, Indonesia and Japan -- learning how the people there live their faith in everyday life.
1. More active in Interfaith dialogue he takes groups to visit houses of worship of the world’s religions here in the Seattle area,
including the local Mosque. In Fall 2004 he
launched a new series highlighting firsthand
experience of the practices of traditions such as
Zen, Sikh, Sufi and Quaker. Go to coming events page to
learn about next series in April 2005.
2. "Treasures
beyond Measure": A series of evenings made up of
Stories and an interactive Slide show giving us a visual
journey into the heart of Asia.
3. In
his 4 months on the island of Bali (Indonesia) he wrote
his experience of encountering God in these cultures.
Over 200 pages of writings in the form of travelogue,
short story, poetry (See "Shine on Beautifully" and "Found
God in Many Places"), prayer meditations
(See the "Abundance Prayer") and song are now
being edited. In this modern day why write a book --
when you can put them on a webpage for all to see?
This webpage has
links to Tim's writing, as a gift to you. One of
which is a children's story entitled, "Sammy the
Snake Monk of Siam," (click the
title to read the story) wherein a boy meets forest
monks in Thailand and is invited to spend the night
in a 1000 year old Buddhist cave -- home also to 6
ft. baby python, softball sized spiders and huge
bats! Based on a true story ... my own.

Want to go on a Pilgrimage ... to Asia?
In 2005 Tim will
begin setting the stage for a leading such a 10-day tour
to the places where you can encounter such "Treasures
beyond Measure" yourself ...
Temples in Thailand?
Religious Pageantry in Bali? A Hindu-Christian
Ashram in India? A Jesuit retreat center outside
Katmandu?
Hmmm...
Shine On Beautifully
Light,
Or no Light.
Food, or none.
Like or no like me;
Shine On Beautifully, So even the Stars See themselves
Mirrored in your light A million miles Away.
April 5, 2001 Ubud, Bali.

Found God in many places . . .
(“The Kingdom of God is within you,” Mark 5)
I found God in many places, Not least of which, Within.
I found the Truth I sought; Not least of which,
Within.
I found the Scripture I hearkened for With such longing and desire, (As Pilgrim, As professional, As Minister Proud,) Not least of which, arose,
To my surprise, From the quiet within.
From the sound in a still tree
Amidst a grove of Eucalyptus I found. From the ever-running river,
And the tiny butterflies’ whisper, I heard. In places
Dark and light I knew.
Where Ezekiel was led, where Ishmael found solace, Where the son went at nightfall,
So went I, So I walked Into The Heart. (of it all)
And I am not dead, Am, in fact,
Quite Alive! Still walking, Yes, I am Still A Pilgrim;
To be found Shining from Within, To be found Shining
From the Light Ahead. *
*In many reported near-death experiences, as they walk through the tunnel toward the light ahead
this very light is reported to shine toward them, as well, lighting their being.

The Abundance Prayer
ala Tim Malone
(Short Version)
For the Abundance Received . . .
I Give Thanks. For the Abundance to Come, Trusting it WILL Come ... ... I say, "YES!!"

The Abundance Prayer
(Full Version with the hand movement)
AS YOU BREATHE IN,
CUP YOUR HANDS IN FRONT OF YOU LIKE A BOWL …
and BRING CUPPED HANDS UP AND INTO YOUR HEART
SLOWLY, AS YOU SAY THESE WORDS
“For the Abundance Received . . .”
(As you breathe out take a moment to reflect on
and cup into your heart the Gifts of people, events, synchronicities
Come into YOUR life today -- as well as to savor this present moment)
“ . . . I Give Thanks.”
ONCE AT YOUR HEART FORM
TWO PRAYING HANDS --
COMING OUT OF YOUR HEART --
THUMBS RESTING ON CHEST
FINGERS TOGETHER FACING UPWARD
BOWING SLIGHTLY IN GRATITUDE.
AS YOU BREATHE IN AGAIN FORM YOUR HANDS BACK INTO
A BOWL AND SLOWLY STRETCH YOUR ARMS OUT INTO A
BEGGING POSITION, AS YOU SPEAK THESE WORDS:
“For the Abundance to Come,”
STRETCH YOUR ARMS OUT TO FULL LENGTH IN FRONT OF
YOU, OPENING HANDS WIDE
AND TO EITHER SIDE, SAYING:
“ Trusting it WILL Come …”
AS YOU BREATHE OUT RAISE YOUR HANDS HIGH, palms up TO
RECEIVE IN CONFIDENCE … your eyes skyward:
“…I Say, “YES!!”
* This prayer can last a minute -- or three minutes,
Can be silent,
Or made with gusto,
Especially at the end;
Saying “YES” --
To God,
To the universe
To the One Who gives Life
And renews each year
The Earth into
Springtime -- Is no small thing.
